This incident catalyzed her to utilize her political platform and voice to fight for social justice through her politics and writing. Her advocacy was recognized by Elle Canada magazine and the Toronto Star, highlighting the impact of her work.
Natasha’s unique perspective, informed by her Afro-Trinidadian and Irish heritage, drives her to use creative writing to express her marginalization experiences in Western society and amplify underrepresented voices. She has also been mentored by accomplished authors such as Kim Moritsugu, Wayson Choy, and Brian Francis. She has been involved in projects alongside esteemed writers like Margaret Atwood and Yann Martel to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research.
